One for us

We have had a pretty good year. We celebrated 11 years of marriage in August, and will be together 13 next month. the time sure flies when you are having fun. Adam has been with Murfin for 4 years now and is still chugging along. I have been with Golight for 2.
The theme of the year (besides kids stuff) has been concerts and sports. We attended a Rockies White Sox game and went to our first ever NFL game, watching the Raiders beat the Broncos.
As for concerts we took June to Hinder and My Darkest Days in North Platte and had such a good time Adam and I got tickets to see 3 Days Grace and My Darkest Days in August. The week before the concert 3DG cancelled so MDD and Paisty Jenny played and it was awesome. In July Aletha and I went to The Beach Boys in Grand Island and just had a girls weekend out. It was a busy summer but definitely a fun one.
We spent more time than we have with Adams two sisters and found out we will have a new nephew in January. Other than following the kids around that has been our busy lives

One for June

June's year went a lot better. She got out of her cast in March. She turned 11 in Feb. and we took her to a tri-city storm hockey game with a friend. It was a really good time. We got to go back to Denver for the White Sox vs. Rockies. It was a lot of fun the game went into extra innings and the White Sox won. We hung out with Adams sisters and did some other fun things like Boondocks, swimming, shopping ect.
In June we took her to her first concert to see Hinder and My Darkest Days. and had a blast. We went with my brother and sis in law

June and I with the drummer (Dougie) from My Darkest Days.

Our little group

She actually got a full season in for softball but there weren't a lot of girls signed up so it was a scrimmage every week. That was kinda disappointing but she had fun. She did her last year of YMCA volleyball and did great again. Next time she plays it will be in jr. high (SCARY) She is still doing girl scouts and the clarinet. The only other thing she seems to be doing is growing nonstop. She is about 5'4" now and is bigger than me.
She has also proved to be quite the little helper with smaller children. She got to do a little babysitting this year and loved it, I can see a lot more in her future. She is still a bright student and seems to be enjoying 6th grade.

one for austin

Well Austin has been our busy bee of the year. Leaving off in December he loved basketball and can't wait to play again this year. He has proved over the year he is a good student and still has issues with talking to much. In June we had something unexpected happen. It looked like he had a bad sunburn on his face and within the week it looked like his face had melted off. It was very hard to see him like that and we still don't have answers.
He got to play sluggers baseball this year and got to try different positions out. He did really good at catcher but was even better in the field because of his speed and arm.
Him and Oliver have become good friends over the years. Oliver puts up with so much from him
Austin turned 8 this year and on his birthday his face burned again. So we have been going to a dermatologist to see if she can help up figure out the mystery....so far they are as baffled as we are.
He did get to have some fun at the lake this summer

the burn

He is starting to like football a little more....not to play just to watch. Bless his heart he is a Raiders fan not a Bronco one. Since there is so much energy in his little body he has to be active in something besides school, instead of doing sports this year he opted for guitar lessons and karate. Guitar is going great and he picks up everything very quickly, karate he also enjoys but I have a feeling dance will be replacing it next year.

so that pretty much sums up Austins year in a nut shell

one more for the year

Again our lives have been fun....still no sports as of now. Austin starts his second year of basketball in a couple of weeks. June was supposed to but on Christmas night she broke her arm again. Same arm same bones. All the kids were wrestling, she tripped and one story was someone fell on her but no one else recalls that lol. either way she is in a cast for another 7 weeks minimum. Christmas was also disappointing because i spent the whole weekend sick, and didn't get to be with the family

one for my bestie

Ok so it's been like forever since I have updated so here goes our craziness
We have had an extremely busy year with lots of visits to the hospital starting with adam in december getting a cyst removed from his tailbone. June turned 10 in February. We went to new mexico in march to see my aunt get married and had some fun catching up with my uncle richard. on the way home i got the joy of stopping in the er for severe pain and within the month had to have my gall bladder out. i have still been having stomach issues and many visits later we have narrowed it down to IBS. the only thing to do with that is some over the counter meds and watch what i eat. in june i turned the big 3-0 and treated myself to a wonderful day only to have june break her arm a week later. her hand slipped off a door handle and she landed wrong and broke both bones in her arm. 12 weeks later she was finally cleared and healed. austin has been our healthy one this year (knock on wood). june started 5th grade this year and is doing good. she is in band which makes me a happy mom. she finally decided on the clarinet and lucky for us i still had mine and was in great condition. Austin turned 7 in august and started the 2nd grade and for the most part is enjoying it. the only thing i get out of his teacher is he talks too much (which we already knew). labor day weekend we headed to denver and had a blast! went shopping, to boondocks, water world and a rockies game. we also got to hike a little too and i can say this was one of our best vacations. we are up to now and there isn't a whole lot to report, we are trying to finish up some unfinished projects around the house, neither kid is in sports this fall so the only thing we have going is june is still in girl scouts. we did lose a member from our house recently, our cat raider disappeared. after waiting a month we (I) decided to replace him so now we have oliver the kitten. i didn't upload a lot of pics but here are a few of my favorites over the last 7 months austin getting to drive go carts for the first time (he is a very cautious driver)

I am wishing my little girl a very happy 10th birthday today. It's so hard to believe that 10 years can go by so fast. She is turning out to be such a wonderful person and I am so lucky to have her in our lives. Love you baby girl.
