last weekend

This last weekend was the beginning of our extremely busy season. Thursday June had Girl Scouts in Trenton till 5, then was supposed to be at soccer practice at 5 in McCook. Well I got her picked up and dropped off amazingly on time. Friday Austin had a makeup game for soccer so we headed to McCook again Friday night and his team won, I believe, 20-1. Saturday morning June had to be back at the soccer field by 8 am for pictures then her game. Her team won 2-1, followed by Austin's next game and they lost 4-3.

Watching the game

getting ready to play
during the game....Sunday we decided to celebrate Adam's birthday since it is on Wednesday this year. We had the family up in the afternoon for gifts, cake and ice cream

we got him guitar hero Metallica, here he is showing off for his dad, randy, Sarah and Dre

on drums was Char, June, and Rick. Another gift was we ordered Wrestlemani 25 for him. Had supper and hung out with Mike, Randy, Sarah, and the kids. On a final note....Undertaker is 17-0 baby.

Funny Story

OK here is a funny story for everyone. About 2 years ago we adopted 2 kitties, Raider and Puddin. We haven't had good luck with neighborhood cats (fighting) so I decided these were going to be inside only kitties. Well June picked out this long haired black girl and named her Puddin. While I was waiting to tell the lady, who was giving them away, we were taking one I fell in love with Raider (a little boy). So here lies a problem...one male one female and we don't want kittens. So about a year ago we got Raider fixed because he was cheaper. Everything has been going fine and dandy except Puddin keeps going into heat and is mounting her brother. Well we got our taxes back and I told Adam we will get Puddin fixed and be done with it, so I made the appointment. I took her in yesterday and Nancy said it would be about $113 all together and we could pick her up today.

Today I go to pick her up and walk in the door and Nancy is smiling. She said there was a slight price adjustment for the procedure and proceeded to tell me why.....Puddin didn't get spayed he got neutered. I about fell on the floor laughing. For 2 years we have had 2 little boys not one of each. She offered to show me what they cut off as proof and I told her I would take her word for it. I guess Puddin's hair has always been long enough we never noticed the maleness of him. Can you say.....DEE DE DEE. So I called Adam to tell him the news and we came up with the same conclusion....they could have been going outside the whole time because neither one would get pregnant and probally didn't need to fix either. But oh well we are now helping keep the kittie population down for everyone else. As a little inside joke we have been trying to come up with a name for "new" boy cat and the name Devin keeps popping up, on the other hand June asked since we need a boy name can we name him Randy. Some how I don't think he will apriciate that. I think after 2 years with a girly name Pudddin will survive...the damage has been done. lol

Finally some new pics

To say our life has been busy is an understatement. Soccer started for both kids so at least 2 nights a week we have practice for an hour each. Girl Scout cookies have all been delivered now is my turn for fun trying to figure out all the paper work to go with it. I got called back 3 days after I was laid off due to another girl walking out. I'm guessing in the next few weeks there will be another layoff. I'm at the point I don't really care anymore. I got a letter from unemployment yesterday stating I don't qualify for unemployment because of my year off doing daycare. So I'm hoping if there is another layoff the time schedule for the next session will be here and I will qualify. Austin has been sick so much lately I don't know what to do anymore. We are going to the Dr. again this afternoon to see if they know what is going on with him. I did get to go to his parent teacher conference this morning and he is doing so well the teacher was just so happy with him. So that was exciting. June's class had a St. Patricks Day contest where they had to build a leprechaun trap for school and even though she didn't catch one she did get her picture in the paper for it, so we are proud of her. One of us will go to her parent teacher conference this afternoon to see how she is doing. But here are some pics off my phone.

Just a little update

OK so our life has been super crazy the last couple of weeks. Once cookies arrived we have been trying to track everyone down and get them their cookies. On top of that 2 weeks ago we drove to Grand Island to deliver 2 boxes and spent the day shopping with Rick and Char. It was one of the most enjoyable days I've had in a long time. After leaving Grand Island we stopped in Kearney and the kids and I ate at Red Lobster for the first time. June tried some of grandma and grandpa's lobster and crab and I believe really liked both. Austin will be like me and not really care for either. After supper we headed to the Big Apple to play black light mini golf and video games before calling it a day. Moving on to last week.....for those of you who don't know we had a purchasing agent that couldn't do her job and everyone was suffering because of it, well Monday they removed her from her position but instead of firing her they offered her my position. That really didn't set well with me, and I am still not happy about that. When I was pulled into the office so they could let me know, they happened to bring up the fact that I have missed quite a bit of work the last week due to Austin being sick and they don't think any less of me but still need someone reliable. WHAT EVER! Well I got moved back out to the floor to paint and everything was sorta going good when the school called again on Thursday and told me Austin had thrown up on the bus and I needed to come get him. So once again I left work and went to get Austin. When I got home there was a message from my boss asking how my kids were and that I needed to call Timber Creek. He then informed me that I get an extended vacation and have been laid off. On the plus side I might get called back sooner than anyone else because I need to train my replacement in the crib....again WHAT EVER! So here I sit. I really loved my job then they ripped it away from me, then laid me off and to top all of it off they hired two more people on Thursday. Which happens to be the same day they laid me off because there just wasn't that much work for everyone. I guess I'll go job hunting again and see what comes up.
But on better news soccer started last week also and I'm so excited that both kids get to play this year and they both got good coaches. I'm sure I'll have plenty of pics once games start. That has been our life the last 2 weeks. If I can get my pics off my camera I will hopefully get them posted in the next couple of days.

One for Tammy

What a weekend....Friday night after we took Mike to the store we stopped at a friends house to see how he was doing after getting out of the hospital. Saturday we headed to North Platte to finally get the carpet for our living room, now just to find someone to install it. Plus we got new phones that aren't pieces of crap. Sunday we went to the in laws and got to finally meet our new nephew Camron who is about 5 months old. What a cutie. Then a guy I work with wanted another tattoo so he came over and brought his puppy Jersey over to play with her brother Bolt. They were so happy to see each other and I'm now worried because Bolt is like double her size....so much for a small dog. And the best news of all....I'm pregnant! ok just kidding but Girl Scout coookies are in. If you bought look for your Girl Scout to be showing up real soon.
